AHAUS / GRONAU EPE . Local reinforcement for “Mike & the Mechanics” at the gig in Epe: Salip Tarakci from Ahaus was selected as “Supporting Act,” it said in a press release.
As part of a band contest of the local radio station Radio WMW was looking for an opening act for the concert on June 27 during the “Open Air up de Steen Kuhle”. “Loud and well you have to be,” was the default. The goal was a chance for large audiences to provide young musicians.
Applied for numerous bands from all over Germany (among others from Münster, Berlin, Hamburg and Mölln) had. The winner is the singer / songwriter Salip Tarakci with his band. He was able to convince both the handset and the judges with its own well-made pop music. Regional and national notoriety gained Tarakci with its 2012 resolution Formation “Nelson”.The 32-year-old Ahaus, son of German-Aramaic parents, studied among others at the Pop Academy of the Conservatory in Enschede, Netherlands.
